American Cancer Society Relay For Life

The Chipley office team, made up of Dr. Kelly Smith, Melissa Nichols, Melba Kipp, Teresa Owens, Tiffany Pipkin, and Chris Christine Simmons, recently participated in the Annual Relay for Life held by the American Cancer Society. The event was held at Pals Park in Chipley on May 13th and 14th with the theme being “Traveling the Globe.” We are very proud of our team who raised $3,662 and placed as the 4th highest fund raiser for Washington County.

The Eye Center of North America extends thanks to the Co-Sponsors, Wausau 1st Baptist Church, Nichols Auto, and JD Owens Carpet for their support and generosity.

Back to School Gift Certificate

Sure, you remembered the paper, pencils, and new backpacks, but did you get their eyes checked?

Poor Vision can interfere with learning, school performance, participation in sports, and self esteem.

School aged kids who come in for their back to school eye exams during the months of July and August can enter for a chance to win a $150.00 gift certificate to our optical shop.

Breathe Easier at the Eye Center

As a leader in health care, beginning June 1st, all Eye Center of North Florida offices will be joining area hospitals in becoming a Smoke~ Free Campus. This means the premises are entirely tobacco~free. Tobacco use of any kind is prohibited ~ both inside and outside~ by employees, patients, and visitors.

Our decision to go tobacco~free is not an attempt to force anyone to quit using tobacco products. Rather, the tobacco~free initiative is a concrete way we can demonstrate our ongoing commitment to healthy living.

We appreciate your help and support as we head toward June 1st. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Administration, Kathi Nichols.

The Eye Center of North Florida has partnered with Innovations to help brighten Christmas for seniors in our area.  Can you be one of The Eye Center Elves this Christmas?

Be one of the “The Eye Center Elves” this Christmas by stopping by and choosing a senior from one of our trees in the lobby of our Highway 77 location.  Each ornamens on our tree has the name of a senior and a small gift that they would like to receive this Christmas. The seniors have asked for small gifts such as CDs, personal care items, earrings, pajamas, etc.  After choosing a senior and purchasing their gift, please return the item(s) unwrapped in a shopping bag and attach the “ornament” with the senior’s information.  Please return gifts by Friday, December 17th for delivery the week of Christmas. Thank you in advance for your generosity as an Eye Center Elf!
